Learning Outcomes

The student has a sufficient knowledge of the target-oriented communication in companies and organisations. The student has skills to express her/himself in speaking and in writing in various situations of working life. S/he is able to write various documents, act at a meeting and negotiation and express her/himself in various situations of working life. The student understands the significance of communication for the company/organisation and for her/his own work and is willing to improve her/his skills continuously. The student also prepares himself/herself for his/her applying for his/her job.

Contents

Fundamentals of argumentation, oral presentations, nonverbal communication. Documents and argumentative texts, negotiations and related documents. Job application and CV.

Lectures, pair work, group work, presentations and individual studies.

1=Is able to name persuasive communication and interact in working life situations.
3=Is able to analyze and utilize persuasive communication and interact appropriately in working life situations.
5=Is able to analyze and utilize versatile persuasive communication and interact appropriately and efficiently in working life situations. Is capable to analyze his/her own and others' communication skills.

Assessment Methods

Participation in lectures, completed assignments, interviews, discussions, negotiations and related documents, CV. Presentations and exam. Numeric (0-5).
