The student will be able to produce parametric 3D- solid and surface models of various components. He or she is also able to combine these models to assemblies as well as to present the designs in a form of engineering drawings. The student understands the basic concepts of a PLM system and knows the principles of its function as a part of technical information system.
Total work load of the course: 135 h, of which
- scheduled studies: 55 h
- autonomous studies: 80 h
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.
The principle of feature-based modeling, creating features and their hierarchy. Building a part model, sketching and using constraints. Parametric dimensions and constraints. Making of the various features, copying and patterning. Assembly modelling, constraints and exploded views.
