Osaamistavoitteet

The student will learn both technology and international technology marketing and project work in this course. The student will become familiar with distributed energy systems and their operation in general. The main electrical components used in a distributed energy system will be learned. Also the student will gain general understanding about how the generated power is being distributed via the electric network and what are the main challenges. The student will learn how to market and sell an energy system and what kind of challenges can bet met in leading international energy projects. The student will learn how to operate in a multinational, diverse team

- of which scheduled studies: 70 h (partly organized as 40 hours intensive workshop week)

The basic courses of physics

Sisältö

The student will learn how the primary energy is converted into the electricity using power generators. Special attention is paid how the generators are connected into the grid. The student will learn how the electrical energy is converted back to the mechanical work.
The students will gain international technology marketing and multicultural team work skills.

5: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently and is able apply the learnt knowledge in new contexts and shows very good activity during the course and innovative thinking in the workshop.
3: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently and shows good activity and moderate innovativeness during the workshop.
1: The student is able, with guidance, to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit but is not active and shows no innovative ideas during the workshop.

Arviointimenetelmät

The course will be assessed based on the students activity, test, and the learning diary (presence at the company visits) and project work from the intensive week.
