Learning Outcomes
The course aims at introducing the student to the Finnish working life and culture.
The students will be visited by guest lecturers who will hold lectures in subjects such as CV creation, job application and interview skills, Finnish labour laws and entrepreneurship. There will also be visiting representatives from local companies and recruiting firms, who will tell about job possibilities for international students, including what kind of skills their company is looking for and how to find employment in Finland.

Contents
Relevant labour laws, job application and interview skills, entrepreneurship, employment in Finland, an overview to the Finnish working life and culture.

Assessment Criteria
VAMOK representative assesses the students according to their attendance. Scale: pass / fail.
In order to pass the course, the student has to attend the scheduled studies (minimum 70 % participation), actively participate in class activities and complete the required assignments.
Assessment Methods
Required attendance in the arranged activities and lectures. Written self-assessment returned to the named VAMOK representative at the end of the course.
