Learning Outcomes

The student will gain an integral understanding of the quality control related to products and operations and the role played by quality in the profit making and the continuous operations of a company.

Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses



The concepts and components of quality and the management of quality. The role played by the management on customer, product, process and information. Quality control by means of quality systems and their use as basis for continuous development work. Integral quality during the product's life span, standards, quality competitions and importance of quality system and management for the company.

The student has activly taken part in the lectures and the discussions and has proven excellent understanding of quality management and is to a great extent able to apply learned issues in practice
The student has activelky taken part in the lectures and has through his/her studies showed good understanding of quality management and is able to apply learned issues in practice
The student has taken part in the lectures and showed that he/she understands the basics of quality management and is able to participate in discussions

Assessment Methods

Evaluation of the assignments, the project work and at the end a written examination (50 %).
