Learning Outcomes

The student understands the significance of nursing research in developing the quality of nursing. The student gains a deeper understanding of evidence based nursing practice.

Prerequisites: Basic professional studies in nursing.

Contents

Relationship between nursing science, research and development. Assessment of nurse competence. Evidence based nursing practice, management and education. Evidence based client/patient education, and teaching and preceptorship of nursing students and colleagues. Future of nursing science.

- to describe the elements of nursing practice, management and education based on nursing science and to apply them in a new context

Assessment Methods

Examination 50 %. Assignment 50 %.
