Learning Outcomes

The student is familiar with the basic concepts of social psychology and pedagogics and knows how to evaluate them in practice. The student is able to interpret different learning views. The student has adopted the attitude of active learning and is able to evaluate it as a lifelong process. The student knows how to interpret the conformities to law in group dynamics, and the interaction between people, from the basis of theoretical information. The student knows how to argue views of sociality in human thinking, emotion and action.

Student's Workload

Altogether 135 h, of which 65 contact hours and 70 hours of independent study.
The assesment of student's own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Contents

Basics of social psychology and pedagogics. Learning views, learning strategies. Teaching and guiding. Interaction and collaboration. Group, group structure and group processes. Values, norms and prejudices in a human society. Sociality in human action, emotion and thinking.

Assessment Criteria

K5
The student is capable of evaluating critically the central concepts of social psychology and pedagogics. The student is capable of explaining the conformances to law of group dynamics with the help of practical examples. The student knows how to reflect his own learning from the viewpoint of lifelong learning.
H3-4
The student knows how to apply the central concepts of social psychology and pedagogics in practice. The student knows how to compare the conformances to law of group dynamics in interaction situations. The student knows how to analyse his own attitude in relation to lifelong learning.
T1-2
The student knows how to describe the central concepts related to education and interaction. The student understands the attitude of active learning as a lifelong process. The student has a capability to understand and explain the conformances to law of group dynamics.

Assessment Methods

Group work 50% and exam 50%. Numeric evaluation.
