Learning Outcomes

The student is able to analyze and develop procedures in the organization, is able to enable evidence-based practice by identifying various levels and degrees of evidence required, and knows structures of service and funding systems within Health and Social Services. The student attains knowledge about the third sector as respectable party in service provision. The student masters the main methods for quality assurance and identifies ethical issues and needs for improvement. The student is able to analyze efficacy of services and other regional effects to the environment and population.

Assessment Criteria

Level 5:
- the student can evaluate the actions of social and health care through the principals of evidence-based practice
- the student masters the principles of quality assessment and can apply the methods of quality assessment and evaluation

Level 3:
- the student understands the principals of evidence-based practice
- the student understands the principals and effects of financing systems to the operation of social and health care
- the student understands the meaning of quality work and evaluation of impressiveness in social and health care

Level 1:
- the student is familiar with the levels of evidence-based care to enable evidence-based practice
- the student is familiar with the structures of service production systems and financing systems
- the student is familiar with the central methods of quality assessment and evaluation

Assessment Methods

The grade of the study module compounds of grades of network assignments, group assignment and self-evaluation. Numeric evaluation (1–5).
