Learning Outcomes
The student is familiar with the practices and media of communication. The student is able to produce documents which are appropriate in contents, form, style and language. The student internalises the purpose and significance of communication in working life. The student will learn means of argumentative communication needed in working life both written and oral. Public presentations will be practised and improved by observing oneself and others.

Contents
Communicative skills, basics of organizational communication, channels of communication, documents used in working life, appropriate style and language. Persuasive communication, factors of a successful presentation, non-verbal communication.

1=Understands the role of organizational communication. Produces basic text used in working life. Is able to name persuasive communication and interact in working life situations.
3=Understands the role of organizational communication. Produces basic text used in working life and uses styles according to situation and target group. Is able to analyze and utilize persuasive communication and interact appropriately in working life situations.
5=Understands and is able to apply and justify organizational communication. Produces good quality text used in working life and uses styles according to situation and target group in excellent Finnish. Is able to analyze and utilize versatile persuasive communication and interact appropriately and efficiently in working life situations.
Assessment Methods
Participation in contact teaching, completed presentations and assignments 30%, exam 70%. Numeric (0-5)
