Learning Outcomes

The student knows the principles of project management, can make a project plan and lead the project in execution. The student knows the principles of time, cost and resource management in projects and uderstands the importance of risk management. The student can make the schedule, set the resources and estimate the costs of the project using MsProject software.

Student's Workload

Total work load of the student 135 h including scheduled studies and autonomous work.

Contents

Building up a project organisation, making a project plan, project time, cost and resource planning, project control, follow up and reporting. Scheduling and resourcing the project, estimating the costs of the project using project planning software. Basics of 3D-design with an easy to use browser software. Group work in form of a project where a 3D-printer is first assembled and used to print a miniature model of a wind mill or other own designed model, and later disassembled.

Numerical assessment: written exam and project assignment.
