Recognize the most common microbiological pathogens, their transmission routes, and the body’s defense mechanisms against them.

Anatomy and Physiology (3.5 ECTS): Cells and tissues; anatomical terminology; musculoskeletal system and its function; blood, blood groups, and circulatory system; immunity; respiratory system; digestive system and its function; regulation of food intake; energy and cholesterol metabolism; urinary system and fluid balance regulation; nervous system and its function; senses and sensory functions; endocrine system and hormonal regulation; thermoregulation; reproductive system.
Basics of Pathology (0.5 ECTS): Structural and functional changes related to diseases at cell, tissue, and organ level.
Microbiology (1 ECTS): Microbial groups and their prevalence in human environments; key microbiology concepts; transmission routes and infections caused by microbes; basics of microbiological sampling.
