Osaamistavoitteet
Understand the organization, provision, and regulation of social and health care services in Finland.
Comprehend the hierarchy of social and health care services and the roles of different units within care and service chains.
Internalize the meaning of integration and collaboration in social and health care and its implications for future expertise.
Social care competencies: client work competence, service system competence, critical and participatory societal competence.
Health care competencies: client-centeredness, service system competence in social and health care.

Sisältö
Basics of social and health care and client understanding of service system components, roles, and responsibilities. SOTE structure: wellbeing regions, municipalities, supervisory authorities, private services, social sector competence centers, NGOs. Integration and collaboration in social and health care. Development, changes, challenges, and future outlook. Guidance and supervision (AVI, Valvira). Equality and diversity. Client-related legislation. Regional perspective on the service system. International influences and EU impacts.
