Osaamistavoitteet
Act appropriately in emergency and exceptional situations and provide first aid.
Promote client and patient safety
Communicate clearly in the work community and in client/patient situations.
Act according to circumstances in different work environments.
Identify factors that promote and burden work well-being and manage stressors.

- First Aid: 1 ECTS
- Acting and Interaction in Threat and Violence Situations: 1 ECTS
Sisältö
First Aid: emergency first aid, making an emergency call, care of an unconscious patient, resuscitation, shock management, stopping bleeding, acting in accident situations, managing common medical emergencies, preparedness for exceptional circumstances.
Acting and Interaction in Threat and Violence Situations: Safe teamwork and communication, workplace skills, approaching and safely managing client/patient situations.
Key laws related to employment and essential aspects of the sector-specific collective agreement from the employee perspective.
Opetusmuoto / Opetusmenetelmät
Online and/or classroom teaching
Practical exercises: 8 hours of first aid and 8 hours of workplace and safety scenarios.
Arviointikriteerit
Pass:
Participates in all mandatory practical sessions (first aid and safety scenarios).
Demonstrates ability to act correctly in emergency situations and provide first aid according to guidelines.
Shows understanding of patient safety principles and hazard event processes.
Communicates clearly and professionally in simulated workplace and patient situations.
Completes all required assignments and demonstrates awareness of work well-being factors and stress management techniques.
Fail:
Does not attend mandatory practical sessions.
Fails to demonstrate correct first aid skills or safe behavior in emergency scenarios.
Shows insufficient understanding of patient safety principles or hazard event processes.
Does not complete required assignments or lacks engagement in group work.
Fails to demonstrate awareness of work well-being or stress management techniques.
