Osaamistavoitteet
The aim is for the student to be able to make a plan for a tourism project. He/she will understand the importance of development on various levels of the tourism industry.

Sisältö
Effects of income and employment and research in these effects, implementation of tourism strategies, project work and various types of development activities in tourism, drawing up, planning and control of project plans, management, control and quality systems, financing, regional development of tourism.

Conceptualization of a general view, interactive questioning, interactive lecture, study discussion, learning by writing, exercises, group discussion, case exercises, computer-based learning.
Arviointikriteerit
Grade 5
The student is able to independently make a realistic tourism strategy and an economiously credibel action plan.
Grade 3
The student is capable to utilize theoretical concepts in a correct way when making tourism strategies. He or she is able to indipendently make and critically analysis action plans.
Grade 1
The student recognizes features of tourism strategies and action plans and may describe these orally and in writen form.
Arviointimenetelmät
Numeric scale is used (0-5). Active participation, teamwork, individual exercises, written report of development project and oral presentation of it. Peer group and self-assessment are used.
