Osaamistavoitteet
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the financial and operational aspects of international trade. Students will explore the roles of key players, sources of domestic, EU, and international financing, and the practicalities of sales, purchasing, and contract management. The course covers trade finance mechanisms, essential documentation, transportation logistics (including Incoterms and forwarding), risk management, and customs clearance processes. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: Identify the principal players and financial mechanisms involved in international trade. Analyze and apply sources of financing for international trade at domestic, EU, and global levels. Manage sales, purchasing, and contractual agreements effectively in a global context. Understand and utilize trade finance instruments and required documentation in foreign trade operations. Apply transportation logistics, including Incoterms and forwarding practices, to optimize global trade efficiency. Assess and mitigate risks in international trade, including customs clearance processes.
