Osaamistavoitteet
The student is familiar with the different levels of control. The student knows the scopes of deliveries and importance of control systems. The student knows the typical control system equipment and technologies of power plants. The student knows basic control principles and general methods of systems’ design and assembly. The student is able to take into account the project tasks of control system engineering, manufacturing and construction & commissioning.

Total work load 135 h, of which scheduled 70 h.
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Sisältö
Fundamental concepts in feedback control systems. Basic of controlling process systems (purpose, function and structure). Modelling of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, block diagrams. Control system design of power plants. Phases of control system engineering, manufacturing, installation and commissioning. Equipment and production technologies for power plants. Instrumentation. General plans for equipment deliveries, installation, commissioning.

Grade 5: The student is able to apply creatively the contents of the course.
