The descriptions shown below are for the academic year: 2018-2019
Learning Outcomes
The student learns to produce 3D-graphics and 3D-animations: 3D-modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering and using camera in 3D productions. The student learns the methods and tools of 3D and suiting 3D-models for the purpose.
Student's Workload
Total work load of the course: 135 h scheduled and autonomous studies. The assesment of student's own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.
Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses
graafisen tuotannon työkalut
Contents
The student learns the principles, techniques and production methods of 3D-graphics, the modelling andanimation of 2D- and 3-D models. The student can edit, import and export 3D-models and can use 2D- and 3D-models, cameras, lights and materials and create 3D-animations.
Recommended or Required Reading and Other Learning Resources/Tools
Murdock, K. L. 2014. Autodesk 3ds Max 2014 Bible.
Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods
Virtual lectures, exercises and projectwork, total 135 h.
Assessment Criteria
5 = The student can use excellent the different tools of production in 3D-animation and 3D-graphics and understands the principles of 3D-graphics. The student has shown excellent capability to put knowledge into practice.
3 = The student can use well the different tools of production in 3D-animation and 3D-graphics and understands the principles of 3D-graphics. The student has shown capability to put knowledge into practice.
1 = The student can use the different tools of production in 3D-animation and 3D-graphics and understands the principles of 3D-graphics.
Assessment Methods
The exercises and the production work (100 %) are graded numerically (0-5).
