Learning Outcomes

The student will understand the quantities and units of electrostatics and electric current. They will become familiar with the most common electrical components and their behaviour. The student will comprehend the basics of magnetic phenomena and electromagnetism, as well as acquire an understanding of the associated laws of nature. The student learns how electromagnetic induction produces alternating voltage and thus also alternating current. The student learns how different kinds of components behave in alternating current circuits. In addition to their theoretical studies, the students will experimentally study the given laws of nature in laboratory environment. The student will learn how to estimate the accuracy of measurements, and they will learn to make a thorough error analysis and error analysis. The student will write two assessed reports on the mesurements.

Student's Workload

135 h, containing 50 h of scheduled contact studies.
