Learning Outcomes
After the course, the student has a good overall picture of the whole battery value chain. The student understands how the value chain is set up and what are the critical steps and can evaluate business opportunities within the value chain.

Contents
Overview of the lithium-ion battery value chain from mining, refining, precursor and active material synthesis, cell manufacturing and assembly, electrochemical characterization and testing, logistics, applications, economy, reuse, and recycling forming a closed-loop part of a circular economy. Management of the battery value chain and business opportunities of energy storage.
