Learning Outcomes

After this course the student will have a good working knowledge of basic circuits, masters the routine of phasor calculation of circuits, knows how to apply them in practice and to choose the best method for each application. The student will also be able to simulate the studied circuits by using simulation software.

Student's Workload

108 h containing 56 h of scheduled contact studies.

Contents

Phasor calculation, basics of power calculations in AC circuits, resonance circuits and their applications. Mesh current, node voltage, superposition, Thevenin and Norton methods. Bipolarity and tetrapolarity, use of decibel in electrical circuits, circuits containing amplifiers and basics of three-phase systems.
