Learning Outcomes
The objective of the course is to get the student familiar with the Linux operating system, its structure and functionality. After the course, the student will have good knowledge of the most used commands in the Linux operating system, she will feel comfortable with working under the Linux operating system, she can handle files and processes, and she will be able to write shell scripts.

Assessment Criteria
Grade 5: The student is able to produce script programs.
Grade 3: The student can manage the Linux system.
Grade 1: The student can implement and use the Linux operating system from a graphical device and from a terminal.
Assessment Methods
Assignments 50 %, a project work 20 % and an examination 30 %.
