Learning Outcomes

The Laboratory course gives an introduction to the laboratory procedures, instrumentation and measurements techniques, use of simulation programs like PSPICE, electronics and electrical circuit analysis, implementation and testing. The students will learn to work in teams, will be able to use datasheets and learn to communicate technical information in written and oral forms. Finally, students will have the opportunity to design and implement a small electronic project.

Student's Workload

81 h, out of which 30 h in the laboratory. The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses

Basics of Electronics.

Contents

Experimental studies of different kinds of electronic circuits, analysis of the obtained results, reporting of the findings.

Recommended or Required Reading and Other Learning Resources/Tools

Instructions given by the teacher.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Measurements and analysis made in teams of 3 students, individually written reports.

Assessment Criteria

1: Measurements are completed with the help of the teacher, the reports are modest or they are not returned in time, the reports might contain rather large parts which need to be corrected afterwords.
3: Measurements are carried out without big problems, the corresponding reports are returned in time, and they do not contain many parts to be corrected.
5: The measurements are well prepared beforehand, they are made without any problems or need for help, the reports are thorough and well written.

Assessment Methods

Working in the laboratory and the wirtten reports are assessed numerically.
