Learning Outcomes
Student understands why ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems are used in daily business and how ERP systems support business processes. Student is familiar with the use of SAP ERP system and has a basic knowledge of following SAP modules: Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Production Planning, Financial Accounting, Controlling, and Human Capital Management.
Student's Workload
The total amount of student's work is 135 h, which contains 50 h of contact studies and 85 h of individual studies.
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.
Contents
Overview of integrated business processes. ERP supporting daily business processes in SAP ERP system: Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Production Planning, Financial Accounting, Controlling, and Human Capital Management.

Assessment Criteria
Grade 5:
CAN
- discuss about the issues of the Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP) with a restricted target group
- classify and compare various sources of ERP -system reports and structure the information acquired
- modify the information of ERP reports for various purposes and target groups
- assess the correctness and reliability of the ERP- system reports
- use independently various problem solving methods related to using of ERP
- recognise and understands the development needs in the field related to the ERP and present development possibilities
- communicate professionally, fluently and consistently in English
Grade 3:
CAN
- discuss the essential issues of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP) with representatives of relating fields
- modify and apply the information from ERP -system
- assess the correctness of the ERP -system reports
- utilise various problem-solving methods related to ERP -system independently
- recognise the development needs in the area of ERP -systems
- communicate professionally in English
Grade 1:
CAN
- communicate about the essential issues of the Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP) with a chosen target group
- retrieve and utilise information from the ERP -system
- understand the significance of the correctness and reliability of the ERP -system reports and information

Assessment Methods
SAP case studies 60 %. A written examination 40 %.
