Learning Outcomes
Student will learn the primary structure of electrical network and working principles of devices used for protection and control.
Student's Workload
The total amount of student's work is 81 h, which contains 30 h of scheduled contact studies and 51 h of individual studies.
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Basics of Energy Technology.
Contents
Equipment used in energy technology like protection relays and frequency converters. Used protocols and basic prinsibles of the IEC61850 standard.

Assessment Criteria
Grade 5: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently and combine the knowledge with previously learnt in various contexts.
Grade 3: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently.
Grade 1: The student is able, with guidance, to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit.
Assessment Methods
Assignments 50 %, Project work 20 % and an examination 30 %.
