Learning Outcomes
The student knows the basic elements of qualitative research. The student is able to collect material using different qualitative methods. He / she knows the methods of analyzing and reporting qualitative data and is able to evaluate the suitability, strengths and weaknesses of qualitative data.

The student is familiar with the approach and methodological basic solutions of action research. He / she knows the typical application possibilities, strengths, challenges and weaknesses of action research, especially in relation to his / her own field of education. The student is able to draw up a small-scale action research plan.

Assessment Criteria
5 The student is able to analyze his / her own research question and choose alternative implementation methods. He can justify and question the choices he has made. The student uses research concepts in a relevant and professional manner. The knowledge base is broad and justified. The student's familiarity with the chosen methods is in-depth. The language is flawless and good in style.
3 The student understands and is able to analyze his / her research question and find connections between the topic and the method he / she is dealing with. The use of the knowledge base is in accordance with the requirements. Synthesis, analysis, and criticality are observable. The language is flawless and good in style.
1 The student deals with the research question and the method he / she uses at a general level. The knowledge base is compliant. A broader approach would be needed to understand and define the concepts. Syntheses, analyzes, and criticality are at a general level or are absent. Only minor shortcomings in the reference technique and the language is quite flawless.
