Learning Outcomes

The aim of the course is to develop the professional English skills. The student acquires the vocabulary and the skills to be able to write professional and correct business messages and letters.
The student is familiar with central business concepts and terminology of business correspondace. The student understands the requirements for effective communication in working life as well as the importance of good written presentation for the image of a business person / company.

Student's Workload

54 h in total, of which 20 scheduled studies and 34 autonomous studies.
The assesment of student's own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses

The courses of secondary education. Business English part A.

Contents

Professional language, drawing up and reading documents as well as oral tasks and group work. Independent studies.

Regional Impact

The student's English and communications skills are key skills when working in the internationally operating companies in the region and in international trade.

Internationality

The student practises different working life situations and understands that cultural background is one element that affects communication in working life.

Class meetings, pair and group work. Also self studies as well as feedback on work done.
