Learning Outcomes

The aim of the course is to develop professional English skills. The aim is that the student develops his/her ability to communication both orally and in writing through a variety of different channels and in different situations in working life / business life. The student recognizes and masters the language register typical for the business world. The student understands the requirements for, and the importance of, effective communication in working life. Co-operation with international students when possible.

Student's Workload

81 h in total,of which 32 scheduled studies and 49 autonomious studies.
The assesment of student's own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Contents

Professional texts: reading and writing, professional terminology and oral communication in various working life situations.

Regional Impact

The students' English and communication skills are central skills in the local international companies and in interational trade done by local companies.

Internationality

The student practices communication for international business situations and understands the communication is affected by cultural variety.
