Learning Outcomes

The student knows different philosophical basics and information acquisition methods. The student can apply the scientific working methods and is able to apply methods of scientific research in the thesis. The student chooses the subject of the thesis and familiarizes himself with the topic. The student plans and implements the empirical part of the thesis and reports according to his thesis. The student has knowlegde about creating the scientific report.

Student's Workload

Total work load of the course 108 h scheduled, linquistic and autonomous studies.

Contents

Philosophical approaches to research. Research ethics. Information searching and processing (includes also the subject searching procedures taught by the librarian). Forming of the theoretical framework of an empirical study/development work. Writing of a study plan/development work plan. Data collection methods. Implementation of a project and work procedures.

Refreshing the instructions for thesis. Making a schedule and the planning of a personal project for final thesis. The study unit gives support in proceeding with the work if already initiated.
