Learning Outcomes

The aim of entrepreneurial studies is to promote students to understand entrepreneurship as a one career option and on the other hand mindset. The student will familiarise with general tools and terms that are needed setting up a business enterprise. Also a lot of sources for small business information are presented. After the course students are:
-familiar with some helpful tools setting up a own business or working for others
-able to develop or planning own business ideas
-understanding entrepreneurial attitude and behavior in own business or as employee
-familiar to understand lifelong learning as a part of entrepreneurial spirit and successful attitude
-understanding value of networking in business and in general

Entrepreneur and enterprise environment, qualities of an entrepreneur, impediments and incentives of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship as a career and occupation, intrapreneurship, business idea, business plan, instruments of entrepreneurial decision making.

Lectures, project learning, group work, discussions, individual studies and presentations.

Assessment Criteria

5: The student utilise theories, concepts and methods consistently in various situations and assess the sources used.

3: Utilise essential concepts in single situations and assignments and understand the theories on which the assignments are based. (S)he takes into account the responsibilities and obligations connected with the utilisation of information (e.g. copyrights and plagiarism).

1:Recognise and understand the essential theories, principles and methods. (S)he- makes a difference between common knowledge and research knowledge.
