The student knows the basics of sexual,reproductive health and woman's nursing. The student knows how to use this information to the patient's best, when he or she advise and guide customers.

Contents
The basic principles of sexual health and sexual rights. Expressing sexuality in different ages, stage of life and cultures. Various sexuality and its challenges. Sexual health as a part of health care. The role of maternity care in finnish health care organization. Nursing over the normal pregnancy, delivery and puerperium. The development of fetus and the features and nursing of a healthy newborn baby.
Woman's nursing principles and realization.

Lecture, learning discussions,practical exercises and independent studying.
Assessment Criteria
Grade 5
The student is able to
- independently and with client-oriented approach to identify the key factors that affect sexual and reproductive health and woman's nursing
-to use a critical approach when to find, use and evaluate evidence-based information in developing sexual and reproductive health and woman's nursing
-to cooperate with different partners in the treatment of a client
- to follow the ethical principles and develop oneself own and colleagues´ ability to follow the ethical principles
