Learning Outcomes
The student learns to identify the patients needs for health promotion. The student applies health promotion methods with a client -oriented approach. The student learns to do screening methods for clients of various ages. The student learns to identify the growth and development of a health child and adolescent. The student observes the multiprofessional co-opration partnes.

Pass evaluation:
Student
- understands and can apply the ethical principles of nursing
- can operate flexibly in multiprofessional teams
- is motivated to work in the field of nursing
- can make independent decisions, under supervision, related to the patient´ s nursing
- is able to make nursing documentation and follow the principles of data security and data protection
- can carry out pharmacotherapy safely and can follow and can anticipate the effects of the medical treatment
- can evaluate the client's/the patient's health and ability to function and can monitor the changes which take place in them
- can support and guide the patients and their family
- can plan,implement and evaluate patient-oriented nursing
- realistic self-evaluation skills, knows his/her own development needs
- knows the most important examination and nursing procedures, is able to use the nursing instruments and apparatus
Fail-evaluation
Student
- does not follow the principle of professional secrecy
- does not observe agreed rules and instructions
- is not able to work in multiprofessional groups
- has insufficient knowledge basis of nursing and the students makes mistakes when applying it, the student is not able to do independent decision-making in nursing
- the clinical practice is unplanned, the objectives of the clinical practice and self-assessment are insufficient and in adequate
- cannot identify his/her own skills or development needs, is not able to work independently during the latter part of the clinical practice period
- is not able to implement patients' individual nursing although under supervision
- is not able to evaluate the patients ´ state of vital functions, nor report of them
- documentation is defective
- does not present a pharmacotherapy passport or the notes are unclear and defective
- there are several mistakes in implementing pharmacotherapy ,the student does not have a command a medical dosage calculation and does not know the medicines that are most common in the work unit
- cannot evaluate the need for guidance among the patient and the close relatives
- does not know the most common examination and nursing procedures, does not either have the ability to use the apparatus in a safe manner
