Learning Outcomes

The student will become familiar with the operations of Vaasa Polytechnic, the learning environment and learning community as well as the degree programmes and learning methods. The student will learn to draw up his/her own study plan and use various information services.

The student creates an understanding of the ITC profession and its ethics. S/he also learns to take ethical questions into account in her/his work The student learns about the local IT enterprises by visiting some of the companies in the area.

Contents

The student will:
- get familiar the facilities in the school, both pysical and virtual
- get familiar with work tools and virtual environments needed in the studies
- get to know the ICT branch and the professions and roles that are waiting for him/her in the working life
