Learning Outcomes
The student will acquire basic skills in producing vector-based interactive animations. The student will be able to create an interactive web site or other multimedia presentation without JavaScript, Java or HTML. The student will acquire basic skills in ActionScript and using XML-based data in a Flash presentation.

Flash environment and tools. Application environments. Colors and animations. Publishing. Layers and scenes. Symbols and symbol libraries. Buttons. Basics of ActionScript. Optimization. Masks. XML-based data in presentations.

Assessment Criteria
1 = Student is able to produce vector-based animation
3 = Student is able to produce interactive, vector-based animation, which can take advantage of external resources
5 = Student is able to apply aforementioned techniques and is able to utilize the latest/newest standards and technologies.
