Learning Outcomes

On the course the student learns to use the ICT services and the network offered to the students by the university as well as gains an understanding of the rules and guidelines of using those services. In addition the student gains an understanding of how different internet services can support studying.

Contents

The focus of the course is on the ICT-environment of VAMK and the use of the internet including e-mail, different stations of the network, Winha, Moodle, different search engines, different internet services, IP-calls and data security. Picture editing, scanning and transferring pictures is practised. Also the basics of creating www-pages are included in the course.

1: The student is able, with guidance, to utilise the knowledge/methods/calculations learnt during the study unit.

5: The student is able to utilise the knowledge/methods/calculations learnt during the study unit independently and combine the knowledge with previously learnt in various contexts.
