The study unit will acquaint the students with computer networks and give them the necessary skills to use the Internet.

- of which scheduled studies: 40 h

The assesment of student's own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Basics in using the computer.

Contents

The student will be familiarized in the use of the Internet by introducing general knowledge such as Intellectual Properties and useful services. The basics of image processing will be covered. The student will also get acquainted with making Web pages.

Study material supplied by the teacher.

Assessment Criteria

The student can

5 utilise theories, concepts and methods consistently in various situations.

3 utilize essential concepts in single situations and assignments and understand the theories on which the assignments are based.

Assessment Methods

Exercises and web pages. Numeric scale (0-5). Exercises 50% and web pages 50%.
