Learning Outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop the professional English skills. The student acquires the vocabulary and the skills required in order to be able to express himself / herself in issues regarding the business world. In addition the student gets the basic skills in business communication and correspondence required in contacts with foreign companies.
The student is familiar with central business concepts and terminology. He / she also recognizes and masters the language register typical for the business world. The student understands the requirements for effective communication in working life.

81 h in total,of which 39 scheduled studies and 41 autonomious studies.
Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses
The courses of Upper Secondary School, level test or Preparatory English course.
Contents
Professional language and terminology. Reading, writing, speaking and listening. Oral and written communication situations in working life, for instance, introducing yourself, company presentations, sales and customer situations.

Ability to work in the local environment using English as the language of communication.
Internationality
Ability to work globally using English as the langauge of communication.

The teacher will give information about the study material during the course, either in class or via Moodle.
