Learning Outcomes

The aim of this course is to extend and develop the professional English skills of the student. The student acquires the vocabulary, language and soft skills needed for successful oral and written communication in various types of business situations, e.g. small talk, interviews, formal and informal presentations, meetings. The student also learns how to develop and structure different types of texts and how to write different types of business messages. The student understands the importance of communication skills in business life.

The assesment of student's own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

The courses of upper secondary school or corresponding courses.

Contents

Introducing yourself professionally, practicing business terminology, current business news (listening and reading), oral communication situations, writing business messages and other documents, preparing for the job interview.
