Learning Outcomes

The student will acquire a view of entrepreneurship in general and the skills required for self-employment with emphasis on finding a business idea and making a business plan and Corporate Law.

The student familiarizes him/herself with corporate planning and the criteria for choosing the form of enterprise. The course will give the student the basic knowledge needed when establishing a company. He/she also gets acquainted with the procedures and documents required in connection to the establishment of a company. The course will also familiarize the student with registration in the Trade register and the student should understand the meaning of registration

Contents

Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurs and enterprise environment, qualities of an entrepreneur, impediments and incentives of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship as a career and occupation, intrapreneurship, business idea, business plan, instruments of entrepreneurial decision making, corporte planning.

Company Law: Choosing the company form, establishment procedures and documents. Trade register and trade name.

Corporate Law:
1 the student understands some basics about company establishment

3 the student understands well the basics about company establishment and can apply learned issues in practice

5 the student understands excellent the basics about company establishment and can to a great extent apply the learned issues in practice

Assessment Methods

Entrepreneurship:

Written exams (50 %), assignments and project work (50 %). Numerical (0-5).
