Learning Outcomes
The student can rate an electric motor in accordance with the requirements, can implement the protection and the control of the motor when traditional or smart motor starters, motor protection relays or frequency converters are used. In addition, the student can design and implement the control ans supervisory functions of the motor in a PLC system and implement special controls with a frequency converter. The student knows the properties of industrial and power plant network and knows how to take them into account in the planning.
