Learning Outcomes
The student’s courage to speak in general and in various professional situations increases, the student learns to speak English in working life and in general social situations and s/he learns to give an effective presentation contents wise and interaction wise. The student can participate in meetings and negotiations in English and the student’s reading and writing skills will improve.

Various situations in working life, simulations, and speaking exercises, meetings and negotiations, presentation, texts in the student’s field of engineering.

Assessment Criteria
Grade 5: The student has no difficulties in understanding texts, has an extensive vocabulary and can express thoughts spontaneously and exactly, can recognise the nuances of language and is able to give unified, detailed and effective presentation.
Grade 3: The student knows the essential vocabulary pertaining to the field of study and understands the main points of texts. The student can participate in discussions spontaneously and can give a clear and detailed presentation.
Grade 1: The student knows the basic vocabulary of the field, understands the main points of texts and is able to follow discussions pertaining to work and the field the study and is able to give a presentation in English.

An examination, a presentation, regular and active participation.
