Learning Outcomes

The student knows the principles of project management, can make a project plan and lead the project in execution. The student knows the principles of time, cost and resource management in projects and uderstands the importance of risk management. The student can make the schedule, set the resources and estimate the costs of the project using MsProject software.

The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Contents

Building up a project organisation, making a project plan,
project time, cost and resource planning,
project control, follow up and reporting.
Sceduling and resourcing the project, estimating the costs of the project using project planning software.

Lectures, group work, exercises, project work.

Assessment Criteria

5: The student is able to utilize the methods and concepts of project management independently in challenging contexts of project management.
3: The student is able to use the methods andd concepts of project management and understands their importance for successfull projects.
1: The student recognize and uderstands different methods and concepts of project management.

Assessment Methods

Numerical assessment: examination 50%, project work 50%.
