Learning Outcomes

The student can solve and take into consideration voltage and current transients in DC and AC. circuits. The student can analyse circuits with Laplace transfer funktion and solve the electrical problems with PC software.

Student's Workload

Total work load of the course: 56 h
- of which scheduled studies: 28 h
- of which autonomous studies: 28 h

Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses

IST2004 Direct Current Circuits
IST3002 Alternating Current Circuits
IST4004 Calculation Methods of Circuits

Contents

Circuits with one capacitor or inductance are solved as a result of differential equations, more complicated circuits are solved with the Laplace transform method, dynamic short circuit and common equation of short circuit. In PC exercises the main calculation methods of electric circuit are employed.
