Learning Outcomes

The student gets acquainted with MATLAB (matrix laboratory), a numerical computing environment and programming language and learns initiative information acquirement skills related to it's use.

Students total work load is 80 h, of which scheduled studies 42 lessons and autonomous studies 48.5 h.

Contents

some basics on programming,
motivated by visualizing and gaining mathematical problems and their solutions,
examples on classical and numerical analysis: linear algebra, series, numerical differentiation and integration etc.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 5 (excellent): The student is able to apply creatively the contents of the course.
Grade 3 (good): The student is well-abled to utilize the course contents.
Grade 1 (satisfactory): The student knows those subjects of the course, which are necessary for the forthcoming studies and working life.
Passed: The student presents satisfactory practical skills in applying Matlab by the project work.
