Learning Outcomes

The student learns to combine the knowledge in the previous study units to attain a solution for the assignment and expands and deepens her/his knowledge of the most important topics of the theme. The student learns how to work as a responsible member of a project team.

Student's Workload

Total work load of the cource 54 h, of which scheduled studies 28 h and autonomous studies 26 h.

Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses

Study unit of the previous common core themes and studies in Automation theme.

Contents

Various topics of the common core theme are combined into a lrestricted entity in the project. The topic could e.g. be finding out the properties of a given item, design and programming of a control system and studying its operation using simulation.

Material specified by the teachers.

Guided project work, which can include short study units .

Assessment Criteria

5: The student is able to utilise the knowledge/methods/calculations learnt during the study unit independently and combine the knowledge with previously learnt in various contexts.

Assessment Methods

Assessment is based on the activity demonstrated in the project work, the quality of the plans and implementations of the various phases of the project and on the quality of the final report and its oral presentation.
