Learning Outcomes

The goal is to develop professional language skills. The students get acquainted with oral and written communication of their field of studies. The students manage with the basic client situations of the field and are aware of the special characteristics of communication in the field. They are able to discuss professional issues and acquire advanced information in the chosen professional area. The student is able to use Swedish when acquiring information during the studies and in working life. The student has also a positive attitude towards learning languages.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 5
The student manages well the different situations of working life that require language use, masters the structures well and uses them diversely. The students use idiomatically and extensively the vocabulary and expressions of their own field of study. The attitude towards language learning is positive.
The students want to develop their language skills consistently

Grade 3
The students manage the most ordinary foreseeable situations of working life that require language use and use structures and phrases somewhat idiomatically in their communication. The students develop their command of the vocabulary of their own field of study during the course. The attitude towards language learning is positive.

Grade 1
The students are able to participate in the most ordinary foreseeable situations of working life that require language use and use simple structures and single words in their communication. The students develop their command of the vocabulary of their own field of study during the course. The attitude towards language learning is positive.

Further Information

The student is able to
- communicate in Swedish in writing at least on competence level B1-2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages and the civil service language proficiency certificate will be registered in their records.
