Learning Outcomes
The student recognizes the need for first aid, gives first aid in demanding situations and is familiar with health care in special circumstances.
The student knows the factors influencing equipment and radiation safety and understands the importance of legislation and guidelines governing their use in nursing.
The student masters the central knowledge base of patient and customer safety. The student is able to promote patient safety and prevent incidents at all stages of the patient care process. The student is able to communicate clearly to ensure patient safety. The student is able to act immediately as required by the situation when a dangerous event occurs. The student is able to identify possible incidents and make an incident report. The student understands the process of processing an incident report.

Basics of work and equipment safety
Patient safety with professional skills - online course
Radiation doses for X-ray examination and dose limits for X-rays for staff.
Permits for X-ray equipment. X-ray safety from the perspective of the employee and the patient.
Patient records and radiography (recording of radiation doses)
Areas of patient safety: equipment safety, treatment safety, safety of treatment methods, drug safety. Patient safety culture. Effective teamwork in ensuring patient safety. Systematic work to ensure patient safety. Prevention of hazards in treatment. Engaging and involving patients and caregivers in promoting patient safety. Human factors as a risk to patient safety. Structured Reporting Method (ISBAR). Appropriate action in the event of an accident. Addressing risk situations that threaten patient safety. Obligation to report incidents. Hazard identification.
