Learning Outcomes

The student knows
* in outline the Finnish rehabilitation system and different forms of rehabilitation
* understands the possibilities of multiprofessional work in rehabilitative work
* how to support individually and client-oriented the rehabilitation process of the client

Contents

* social rehabilitation
* the wholeness of rehabilitation services (where social rehabilitation is one sector)
* the operation systems of rehabilitation: insurance rehabilitation, Kela, Public employment and business services etc.)
* the rehabilitation legislation
* the operation environment for rehabilitative work in Vaasa
* functional and art based therapies
* the multiprofessional network in rehabilitation
* guided service approach to rehabilitation

Assessment Criteria

Grade 1: the student knows how to
* search for information for a single case and solve a single task in guidance
Grade 3: the student
* search for information about rehabilitation from different information sources
* solve the given task independently using information sources
Grade 5: the student
* search for the most essential information from appropriate information sources, reflect it and solve given assignment with developing and innovative way
