Learning Outcomes

The student knows the functions of the university of the applied sciences, the learning environment and the learning community and the professional identity of his/her own field. The student gets acquainted with the structure and the requirements of his degree programme and can draw up his own curriculum. The student identifies the factors that affect his/her own learning from the pedagogical point of view. The student can use the computer as a tool for learning and studying. The student learns critical thinking and is able to evaluate and use source material for study and learning purposes.

Supporting the studying and the learning. Professional identity and work tasks of one´s own field, own degree programme and different studying methods. Basics of pedagogics. Assessment Criteria

Level 1 The student knows how:
- to describe factors which are related to one´s own learning and upbringing
-to use the computer when supervised, is able to name its operating principles and knows the basis of the most common computer programmes

Level 3 The student knows how:
- to describe theoretically the factors related to one´s own learning and upbringing
- to independently use the computer and describe its operating principles and knows the basis for the use of the most common programmes
- to describe the central characteristics of the scientific information and is able to read scientific text and is also able to reflect on the benefits of using it in nursing

Level 5 The student knows how:
- to describe theoretically the factors which are related to one´s own learning and upbringing and can apply this knowledge
- to independently use the computer and describe its operating principles and knows the basis for the use of the most common programmes

Assessment Methods

Written home exams (25%) or e-learning assignments, computer practical exam (75%). Grading/ evaluation 0-5.
