Learning Outcomes

Heath Promotion

They understand the importance of preventive health care in health promotion. They understand the importance of customer-focused work in health promotion. Students learn to do research, screening of different ages. They understand the multi-disciplinary cooperation, meaning children and young people and their families in health promotion.

Home nursing

Students learn about the home-care mission. Students learn to face the customer in his own home in accordance with the principles of nursing. Students learn to follow the client's well-being and to make key management client's home. Students learn to plan nursing care and documentation. The students become familiar with multi-professional co-operation. The student works under aseptic conditions.

Student's Workload

Total work load of the course: 189 h.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Supervised nursing practice. Training takes place in home care, child health clinics and / or school health services. Training may be in part also by working in a health center nurse or a doctor's office.
