Learning Outcomes
The student knows the factors threatening the health of a person at working age and the health risks related to work. The student will recognise diseases related to work, accidents at work and occupational diseases. The student knows how to guide the client to recognise and avoid the health risks at work. The student is able to counsel the client to use working methods that promote health or if needs be to guide to further care. The student knows how to support the health and rehabilitation. The student is able to use health technology in client counselling.
Contents
The health risks at work places. Promoting employees´ health, the prevention and the treatment of illnesses. The means of rehabilitation in supporting a work ability. The work of occupational health nurse. Labour legislation.

Lectures, study discussions, assignment, group work, demonstration and exercise, independent study.
Assessment Methods
Active participation. Examination, both parts: nursing and medical. Numeric assessment. The clinical studies form a part of the course assessment.
